Vision Lab at the University of Antwerp ( ), a fun and exciting research lab, has a vacancy for a female or male PhD student in the field of quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Specifically, the project involves two specific MRI imaging acquisition methods (diffusion MRI and relaxometry MRI) and targets the development of combined relaxometry/diffusion estimation methods. The project is in close collaboration with the Bio-Imaging lab (small animal MR imaging, ).


The candidate for this position should have a master’s degree in physics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field (if you have not obtained your diploma yet, but expect to do so in the near future, please apply already). A good command of English is essential. Background in scientific computing and/or magnetic resonance imaging is appreciated. You are open minded, have a good sense of humor and like programming to put your findings into practice. You want to tell the world about your findings with sparkling presentations and attractive papers.

Labs involved: 

Vision Lab is a research group of the physics department at the University of Antwerp. The Vision Lab has unique expertise in reconstruction, processing and analysis of imaging data. The working environment is strongly interdisciplinary, combining techniques and insights from Physics, Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science.
